Manufacturing Process
Material Selection
Eco-certification
All of our wood materials, domestic or imported, are 100% eco-certified with guaranteed origin, under strict supply chain control of FSC certification.
Pre-production Inspection
All incoming materials are inspected, and only those that meet our quality standards can enter the warehouse. Put good in, get good out, as simple as that!
Composing
Veneer Composing
Veneer sheets are composed by a ply tooth connecting machine to ensure flatness.
Plywood Lay-up
Face veneers, long-core veneers, and cross-core veneers are combined into plywood and sent to the core building machine in the correct order for each cross-ply construction. This process enhances the horizontal and vertical strength of the plywood.
Gluing
Low emission Glue
Using high-grade glue that meets stringent E1and CARB formaldehyde emission standard
No Overlap or Crack
Proper gluing prevents overlapping or cracking of wood panel, to make the wood panel strong both crosswise and lengthwise.
Hot Pressing
Pre-pressing
Pre-pressed at room temperature to give plywood panels strength during hot pressing.
Hot Pressing
Hot pressing is optimized to ensure sheets are pressed for an optimal time with optimal pressure and temperature for maximum plywood quality.
Drying
Decreasing Moisture
Drying is a crucial step of panel production, this process removes moisture from the panel and reduces moisture content to an optimized level
Surface prep and conditioning
Cutting and Sanding
Performing sanding and other surface treatments to ensure an impeccable smoothness and flatness.
Apply finish
Surface coating tailored to specific purposes
There are three types of surface coatings that Kim Gia focuses on:
- Melamine
- Laminate
- Hardwood veneer
Product Inspection
Triple Checked and Inspected
Products are checked for thickness, moisture, and density, to ensure excellent quality wood panels.
